Where AOC-4 is about financial statements, MGT-7 is about corporate structure: shareholders, directors, share transfers, and changes during the year. Together, the two filings give the ROC (and anyone doing due diligence) a reasonably complete annual snapshot of the company.
A small company or OPC uses the shorter MGT-7A form, which asks for less detail than the standard MGT-7 required of larger companies.
