Privacy Policy

CA Helper (“we,” “us”) publishes informational content at https://www.cahelper.in. This page explains what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

CA Helper does not require an account, and nothing on the site asks you to register, subscribe, or send us personal details. The calculators and the rent receipt generator are the only places you type anything, and what you type stays in your browser: the figures are worked into a result on your own device and are not sent to us or to anyone else. Nothing is saved, so reloading or closing the page clears what you entered. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data for every visit, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, the way most web servers do. We also use Google Analytics, which is described next.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-FMWEPHZF72. The tag loads on every page. There is no cookie banner and no consent prompt at the moment, so measurement starts as soon as a page opens.

What it tells us is which pages get read, how people arrive, and roughly which cities and countries they are reading from. Google works that approximate location out from your IP address; the IP address itself is not something the reports hand back to us. We see counts and trends, never a named person.

Some sites state that they have switched on IP anonymisation. We have not, because there is nothing to switch on. That setting belonged to the older Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4 ignores it. How IP addresses are handled is decided by Google rather than by anything we configure. What Google does with what it collects is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and by How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser:

• _ga, a randomly generated identifier, so that several visits from the same browser are counted as one returning reader rather than as several new ones.
• _ga_FMWEPHZF72, which holds the state of your current session. The suffix is the measurement ID above.

Google lists both with a lifespan of two years. Neither holds your name, your email address, or anything you typed into a calculator. We set no cookies of our own, and no other script on the site sets one.

You can delete or block these through your browser's cookie settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics collecting data from you on every site that uses it. Nothing here depends on those cookies, so blocking them does not break the site.

Advertising

The site carries no advertising today. No ad network, ad tag, or advertising script is loaded on any page. We do expect to carry ads at some point, and if that happens this page will be updated first, naming the network and listing the cookies it sets, before the first ad goes live. Our editorial policy makes the same commitment, and it also records that no one pays to be mentioned, recommended, or reviewed in the writing itself.

Third-party content

Article cover images are served from Unsplash's content delivery network. Loading a page with an image sends your browser's standard request information, such as IP address, to Unsplash, subject to Unsplash's own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

This site is written for a professional and general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
