Help for the Smart Punjab mobile app. If anything below does not answer your question, message us and a person will reply.

We usually reply the same day.

Signing in

You sign in with your ten-digit mobile number and a password — not an email address. When you first create an account we send a code by SMS to check the number is yours. After that, signing in never needs a code again.

The code did not arrive. Wait a full minute, check you typed the number correctly, and make sure you have signal. Then ask for a new code. If it still does not arrive, message us and we will set the account up for you.

Forgotten password. There is no email on the account, so there is no reset link. Message us from the number on the account and we will tell you your password.

Signed out unexpectedly. One account works on one phone at a time. Signing in on a second phone signs the first one out.

About the information shown

Everything the app displays is read from public Punjab Government portals. It is only as current and as correct as those portals are, and they can be slow, out of date, or down.

For anything that matters — an entitlement, a stock figure, a card status — check the official portal or your department before acting on it.

Smart Punjab is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government department, and it does not create, hold or change any official record. We cannot change what a portal reports, add a name to a card, or correct a stock figure. Those requests have to go to the department.

Nothing loads / results are empty

Check your internet connection first. If the connection is fine, the government portal is most likely busy or temporarily down — wait a few minutes and try again. If a number that used to work stops returning anything for more than a day, message us, because that usually means the portal has changed and we need to update the app.
